PHOENIX POLAR BEARS

Desire + Dedication + Discipline = Success was the motto for the Mite B Phoenix Polar Bears for the 2008-2009 season. Down 2 goals with less than 9 minutes left in the third period, it was the desire, and dedication and discipline that pushed the team to come back and achieve success. With only 53 seconds left in a sudden death overtime, the Mite B Phoenix Polar Bears defeated the Mite B Ozzie Bears in the State Championship game. After losing the first game of the day against Ozzie in a shootout, the teams were forced to play again just 3 hours later as a result of the double elimination rule. This was the 4th tournament and championship game the team has played in this season. The coaching staff, the parents, and the Polar Bears Organization are so very proud of the kids and all of their hard work this season.
